Marine & Industrial Pump Supply — Complete Units and Spare Parts
Pumps are the most numerous rotating machinery on any vessel. A typical cargo ship carries 30–50 pumps handling everything from ballast water and bilge drainage to fuel oil transfer, lubricating oil circulation, cooling water, and fire-fighting. Each pump operates under specific conditions — temperature, viscosity, pressure, flow rate — and must comply with the vessel’s classification requirements.
hicool supplies complete pump units and OEM-compatible spare parts for marine and industrial applications. Our supply covers centrifugal pumps (the most common type for water-based fluids), gear pumps (for viscous fluids like fuel oil and lube oil), screw pumps (for high-viscosity cargo and fuel handling), and submersible pumps (for bilge, ballast, and emergency drainage).
Centrifugal Pumps
Centrifugal pumps account for the majority of pumps installed on board — ballast pumps, general service pumps, cooling water pumps, fire pumps, and freshwater hydrophore systems. We supply horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps in cast iron, bronze, and stainless steel construction. Key specifications:
- Flow rate: 5–2,000 m³/h
- Head: Up to 150 m
- Materials: Cast iron (GG25/GGG40), bronze (CuSn10), duplex stainless steel (UNS S31803)
- Seal type: Mechanical seal (single or double), packed gland
- Standards: CCS rules, ISO 9906, ISO 5199
Gear Pumps
External gear pumps are the standard choice for fuel oil transfer, lube oil circulation, and hydraulic power pack applications. We supply gear pumps for viscosities up to 1,000 cSt, with built-in safety relief valves and heated jackets for heavy fuel oil (HFO) service. Available in cast iron and steel construction, with hardened alloy steel gears.
- Flow rate: 0.5–200 m³/h
- Pressure: Up to 16 bar
- Viscosity: Up to 1,000 cSt (HFO service with heating jacket)
- Drive: Electric motor coupled or engine-driven (PTO)
Screw Pumps
Triple-screw pumps are widely used for main engine fuel oil boosting, cargo pumping on product tankers, and hydraulic power unit supply. hicool supplies three-screw pumps compatible with major OEM brands, including complete pump assemblies and individual spare parts (screws, mechanical seals, bearing bushings, coupling elements).
- Flow rate: 1–500 m³/h
- Pressure: Up to 25 bar
- Applications: Fuel oil boosting, cargo pumping, hydraulic oil supply, lubrication systems
Submersible Pumps
Submersible pumps serve critical safety functions — emergency bilge pumping, ballast stripping, and hold drainage. We supply electric submersible pumps (portable and fixed installation) rated for seawater service with stainless steel or bronze impellers and IP68 motor protection.
Spare Parts for All Major Pump Makers
Beyond complete units, a significant portion of our pump business is spare parts supply. We source OEM-compatible impellers, wear rings, mechanical seals, shaft sleeves, bearing bushings, and gasket kits for pumps from European, Japanese, and Korean manufacturers. Send us the pump nameplate data — maker, model, serial number — and we identify the correct replacement parts with dimensional verification.
Why Source Pumps Through hicool
Pump procurement for marine applications requires matching the right pump type, material, and seal configuration to the service conditions — plus ensuring class approval documentation is in order. hicool handles specification review, factory selection across our network of 10+ pump manufacturers, class surveyor coordination, and pre-delivery inspection. For spare parts, we maintain cross-reference databases to identify compatible parts across different makers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you supply spare parts for European and Japanese pump brands?
Yes. We source OEM-compatible spare parts for most major marine pump manufacturers. We cross-reference by pump model and serial number to ensure dimensional and material compatibility. Parts are manufactured to original specifications with material certificates provided.
What information do you need for a pump quotation?
For complete pumps: service type (what fluid), flow rate, discharge pressure/head, fluid temperature and viscosity, drive type, and required class approval. For spare parts: pump maker, model, serial number, and the specific parts needed. A nameplate photo is ideal.
Do your pumps come with class approval?
Yes, for marine applications. Complete pump units are supplied with CCS, BV, ABS, or DNV type approval certificates as required. Each pump includes an individual test report (performance curve, NPSH data, vibration measurement). For industrial applications, ISO 9001 and CE marking are standard.
What is the typical lead time?
Spare parts: 2–4 weeks. Standard centrifugal pumps: 4–6 weeks. Screw pumps and specialized pumps: 6–10 weeks. Emergency spare parts can sometimes be expedited to 7–10 working days.
Do you supply pumps for industrial (non-marine) applications?
Yes. We supply pumps for cold storage, food processing, chemical processing, water treatment, and HVAC applications. Industrial pumps are supplied with ISO 9001 quality certification and CE marking. Class approval is not required for shore-based installations.
