EA-60 Marine Engine Shock Absorber — Fail-Safe Captive, 60 kg Nominal
Description
The EA-60 is the 60 kg nominal-load variant of our flagship EA captive fail-safe marine mount series, engineered for main propulsion diesels in the 50 to 200 kW range and auxiliary marine gensets. The integral metal cage mechanically interlocks the upper and lower mounting plates so that even under total rubber failure — whether from fire, fluid contamination, or long-term fatigue — the mounted engine remains captive to the hull, satisfying the captive retention principle required by classification societies for resilient main-engine mountings. Natural frequency is tuned to approximately 10 Hz in Shore A 55, delivering greater than 85 percent isolation across the typical firing-frequency band of 50 to 150 Hz. The NBR-NR blend rubber compound is qualified for −40 to +80 °C continuous service with oil and fuel resistance for engine-room ambient conditions. CCS type approval documentation is available for classed projects; BV, ABS, and DNV equivalence is supplied on request. M12 standard thread with M14 and M16 available.
