Fabrication & Engineering Services
From skid packages and structural frames to pipe spools and custom brackets — Hicool coordinates fabrication with our certified partner workshops, managing the full cycle from drawing review to final inspection and delivery.
Fabrication Delivered to Shipyards, EPCs & Industrial End Users
What We Fabricate
Hicool’s fabrication services cover a wide range of industrial and marine metalwork. We do not operate a single factory — instead, we coordinate a network of 15+ specialized workshops across Jiangsu and Zhejiang, each qualified for specific processes and certifications. This allows us to match each job to the right facility, whether it requires ASME U-Stamp pressure vessel welding, CCS-approved marine structural work, or standard carbon steel frame fabrication.
Skid Packages & Process Modules
We fabricate complete skid-mounted packages for chemical injection, fuel gas supply, hydraulic power units, and utility systems. Each skid is built to client P&ID and GA drawings, with all piping, valves, instrumentation, and electrical pre-installed. Skids are hydrostatically tested, leak-checked, and shipped as a single transportable unit — reducing on-site installation time by up to 60%.
Structural Frames & Brackets
From simple motor bases and equipment supports to complex multi-level platforms, our structural fabrication follows AWS D1.1 or EN 1090 standards. Material options include carbon steel (Q235B/Q345B), stainless steel (304/316L), and aluminum (5083/6061). All structural work includes material certificates, WPS/PQR documentation, and NDT reports as required.
Pipe Spools & Manifolds
Prefabricated pipe spools accelerate on-site installation and reduce field welding. We fabricate spools in carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, CuNi, and exotic alloys, with all welding performed to ASME IX or EN ISO 15614 qualified procedures. Each spool is dimensionally checked, X-ray or UT inspected per client specifications, and tagged for installation sequence.
Custom Brackets, Chutes & Guards
For marine applications, we produce fairlead brackets, cable tray supports, hatch coaming stiffeners, and equipment guards — all fabricated to class society drawings and approved by the attending surveyor prior to shipment.
Our Fabrication Process
Every fabrication project follows a structured 6-step workflow designed to eliminate quality surprises and keep your schedule on track.
- Drawing Review & Feasibility Check — We review your drawings, flag any manufacturing concerns, and confirm material grades, tolerances, and surface treatment requirements.
- Workshop Selection — Based on the job scope, we assign the project to the most suitable certified workshop from our partner network.
- Material Procurement — All raw materials are sourced with original mill certificates (EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2). We verify chemical composition and mechanical properties before fabrication begins.
- Fabrication & Welding — Cutting, forming, welding, and assembly are performed per approved WPS. Welders hold valid qualifications per ASME IX, EN 287, or CCS rules as applicable.
- Inspection & Testing — In-process and final inspections include dimensional checks, visual inspection, NDT (RT/UT/MT/PT), hydrostatic or pneumatic testing, and coating/surface finish verification.
- Documentation & Delivery — A complete documentation package is compiled: material certs, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, NDT reports, test certificates, and packing list. Items are packed for ocean freight or truck transport.
Certifications & Standards
Our workshop partners hold the following certifications, verified annually by Hicool’s quality team:
- ASME U, U2, S Stamps — Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and power boilers per ASME BPVC
- PED 2014/68/EU Module H — CE-marked pressure equipment for European markets
- CCS, BV, DNV, ABS, LR — Marine classification society approval for ship and offshore structures
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality management system across all partner facilities
- EN 1090-2 EXC3 — Structural steelwork execution class for load-bearing structures
- AWS D1.1 / EN ISO 3834-2 — Welding quality requirements for fusion welding

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for fabrication?
There is no strict minimum. We handle everything from single prototype units to batch production of 50+ pieces. For very small jobs (under $2,000), we may combine them with other orders to optimize workshop scheduling.
Can you fabricate to our company’s welding procedures?
Yes. If you supply your own WPS/PQR, our workshops will qualify welders accordingly. If you need us to develop procedures, we prepare WPS/PQR per ASME IX or EN ISO 15614 and submit them for your approval before production.
Do you accept third-party inspection?
Absolutely. We regularly work with Bureau Veritas, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, CCS, and client-appointed inspectors. Inspection hold points are agreed in advance and documented in the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
What is the typical lead time?
Simple brackets and frames: 2–3 weeks. Pipe spools: 3–4 weeks. Skid packages: 6–10 weeks. Pressure vessels (ASME/PED): 8–14 weeks. Lead times depend on material availability, complexity, and third-party inspection requirements.
