Project Overview

A major Chinese shipyard building a series of 64,000 DWT bulk carriers required CCS-certified main and emergency air compressors for their newbuild program. The yard needed a reliable supply partner who could coordinate with the compressor manufacturer, handle classification society documentation, and deliver within the tight hull outfitting schedule.

Challenge

The shipyard's original supplier had extended lead times beyond acceptable limits, putting the vessel delivery at risk. They needed a replacement source that could:

• Provide CCS Type Approval certificates for all compressor models
• Match the existing engine room layout specifications
• Deliver within 5 weeks to avoid disrupting the outfitting sequence

All equipment was factory-tested with CCS surveyor witness, and complete documentation packages (GA drawings, test reports, Type Approval certificates, operation manuals) were delivered 2 weeks before the equipment.
