Project Overview
A state-owned shipping company ordered container lashing equipment for a fleet of 5 new multi-purpose vessels (3,500 TEU each) being built at two shipyards simultaneously. The lashing system needed to secure containers up to 9-high on deck in North Pacific winter conditions (significant wave height 6m+).
The Challenge
Fleet orders across two shipyards require perfect consistency — every turnbuckle, twist lock, and stacking cone must be interchangeable between vessels. The North Pacific route demands lashing systems rated for 15° rolling angle per CSS Code Annex 13. Quality control had to ensure each of the 18,000+ individual lashing components met CCS material certification.
